Without having to worry about food, students at Texas State Technical College can move one step closer to achieving their education and career goals. SkillsUSA Community Service national medalists Isela Rodri- guez, Iris Juarez and Alexandra Lugo (below) decided to incorporate their skills to create an on-campus food pantry.
Students partnered with faculty and staff, as well as local charities in Harlin- gen, to provide supplies and funding to make this project come to life. This silver-medal-winning idea was a sustain- able solution to student hunger.
